Using the Desktop File Viewer

Desktop File Viewer

The Desktop File Viewer is an application that is installed on a Windows computer.  You need to download a seperate installer for the Desktop File Viewer.  This download is available on the same page as the main download for Windows Mobile SMS Sync.

Once you have installed the application, you can open it by selecting in from your Windows Start Menu.  From the application, use the Open menu from the File menu to browse for a text message (SMS) backup log to open.  You may need to copy the backup file from your mobile device to your computer in order to select it with the application.

Once you have opened a backup file, use the filters on the left hand side of the grid to filter the text messages that are displayed.
